INFO ABOUT CONSCRIPTS: The Conscripts are a human Combine unitcut from Half-Life 2. They were to be the remains of the former Earth forces requisitioned and unwillingly reincorporated (according to the definition of Conscription) into the Combine units as low rank human Combine soldiers, apparently even lower than the Civil Protection. They were to be headed by CaptainVance. Despite being ultimately cut from the game, Overwatch announcements and in-game references to them still appear.

Backstory [4 PARAGRAPHS LONG]
Josh Shredinger was born in 1981 , he attended school but had barely made it into secondary, however he made it into college with flying colours and got a medical degree. During his early adulthoodhe married Sally Grand, and they had two children, they lived a happy life, but in 2001 there was The Croatian War of Independence that was fought from 1991 to 1995 between Croat forces loyal to the government of Croatia—which had declared independence from the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia and the Serb-controlled Yugoslav People's Army. He fought for Serb-controlled Yugoslav People's Army andbecame a sergeant at the end of the war. After the war he started a shop, selling many goods.Surprisingly enough to him, Josh's business was so successful he had to install a vault to keep all his earned money and hire two security guards to keep itsafe, his business had no flaws in it and was very successful.He was very happy about his success and asked his wife tomanage the store with him, but instead she became a nurse and attended to sick people, Josh did not mind this but was alittle disappointed that she could not work with him, just like her husband, Sally was also very successful in her business. This isall changed however, when during a normal day at the store,Josh looked outside, and his eyes widened in terror, a massive portal had ripped through the sky, and weird creatures suddenly appeared out of no-where, most of them being small weird creatures that attached themselves to peoples heads. He rushed to his car, driving to millitary safe-zone, thinking of what happened to his family. After 2 weeks Josh looked up and was shocked to see the same portalrip through the sky once more, but this time, strange aircraft came through, some long with a cannon on the end, and others carrying dark pods. The 'gunships' began shooting up anything that seemed to resemble the military. And the 'dropships' dropped off weird, humanoid aliens with equally strangeweapons. They too, began disposing of the military. More dropships dropped off gigantic three legged aliens with cannons. They all teared through the military like paper. Josh couldn't take it anymore, broke down and fainted. He woke up in a blue jumpsuit of some sorts, and on a train, he looked around and saw other people wearing the same clothing and looked miserable, when he arrived he learned that this alien race were the Combine, he saw a poster up that said that the combine were looking for loyalists to join the Conscripts, he considered the facts, and decided to become one of them.

/me whispers to other Conscripts: Alright, so s the plan?Cpt Maxwell Vanguard whispers: There are a lot of armed Anti-citizens in this apartment, look, we get the door opened, and spray out guns at them, all got it?/it All other soldiers nodCpt Maxwell Vanguard says: 3, 2, 1, Inject!/me shoots the door knob, backing off/it All conscripts get in, spraying their gun fire/it One of the rebels shoots out of cover, with his SMG/me shoots, covering behind the couch/it trying to get to the other cover, rebel sprays his gun at Josh, getting him by his knee/y They e got me!/me tries to stop the bleeding, holding his knee with one hand**Cpt Maxwell Vanguard aims at the rebel, shooting, killing him/it The room is full of dead bodies, including one of the conscripts/me says, holding on his knee: Damn, that fucker got me...Cpt Maxwell Vanguard says: Dont worry, soldier, ll get you patched up soon. That it back up!
